Advocating for acceptance + inclusion within our community
Our Purpose
1 in 31 children have an Autism diagnosis. We want our community to be one where children and others with disabilities feel safe, accepted and valued. Our purpose and our goal is to help support autistic and other special needs individuals and their families by:
Spreading awareness through Inclusive Events and outreach
Creating connections within our community through Advocacy
Assisting with (individual) advocacy via Educational Offerings
Helping to build a more inclusive community
Offering Scholarship Opportunities to special needs individuals and their families
Inclusive Park Advocacy
Inclusive Park Advocacy
We have started the conversation with the City of Napa to advocate for fully inclusive City Park, a Park for ALL children to play in and for ALL families to feel safe and welcome in. We started by sending emails to the City of Napa and by attending the Park, Recreation, and Trees Advisory Commission meeting on 8/20/25. We were very well received by City employees and the Commissioners.
We also had a sit down with City of Napa Parks & Recreation Director and the Parks Project Manager! And they are working to include some of our asks: a park that is fenced in and gated, has a rubberized flat surface for individuals with mobility differences, and a communication board!
If you would like to help us advocate for a Park for ALL children in the City of Napa you may:
